Russ and Diane Moravec have been married and in the auction business since 1980.  They have 3 sons, Matt, Jon, and Trev, who were raised in the industry.​ Russ grew up on a farm in  rural David City, Nebraska.  He graduated from the Western School of Auctioneering, in Billings, MT in 1980.  He started his career selling livestock and personal property and later ventured into selling auto auctions on a weekly basis. Russ is also a licensed Real Estate Broker. Diane brings her knowledge of collectibles, glassware and antiques to the company. Diane adds that special touch to each auction as well as being a professional clerk on a weekly basis and being very diverse on the auction software system.

The past 2 years have been exciting for the Moravec Auction Family. Trev Moravec was honored to win the title of World Champion Automobile Auctioneer  in 2021, then he got the privilege to pass the title on to his brother Matt who won the title of World Champion Auctioneer in 2022! Russ got the honor of being inducted into the Nebraska Auctioneers Hall of Fame in May of 2023! His whole family was there to surprise him when he received the award.
